Montreal police say they do not fear for the life of a 24 year old man stabbed in the upper body.
It happened just after 3:30 Sunday morning at the corner of Sherbrooke and Saint-Laurent.
A 22 year old man is in police custody and is expected to face a charge of armed assault.
Montreal police enlisted the help of a police dog to locate the weapon used in the attack.
A total of five people were involved in the confrontation.
Another 23 year old man has been arrested and is expected to face charges of assaulting a police officer and obstruction of justice.
