Police in Terrebonne are investigating the death of a 60-year-old truck driver.
Officers were called to the scene of a crash on de la Pinière Blvd. at about 12:30 A.M. Wednesday. A tractor trailer had gone off road and was in a ditch on the side of the boulevard with the driver still in the driver's seat, unconscious and in cardiorespiratory arrest.

The driver was rushed to hospital where his death was confirmed.
According to investigators the truck was traveling westbound on de la Pinière when it crossed the center line and ended up in the ditch on the opposite side of the road. The truck had only left the Sobey's warehouse 10 minutes earlier.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The cause of the man's death and the crash are not known. Investigators said it's possible the man fell ill behind the wheel.
