There won't be any Turcot-related road closures this coming weekend. Or the weekend after that.
The Transport Ministry is giving roadwork-weary Montrealers a Christmas gift: a holiday break from road closures.
It says it's halting all construction work between Saturday, Dec. 22 and Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019.
The multi-year job to tear down and rebuild the Turcot interchange is more than half-done, and should be complete by the end of 2020.
