330 unionized school bus drivers employed by Transco are going to walk off the job Wednesday morning.
It will be their third strike day following a two day walkout on January 30 and 31.
The drivers who earn about $20,000 annually have been working without a contract since June of 2017.
Their union executive had reached a tentative contract agreement with the company following the strike in January but 83% of the bus drivers rejected the proposal in a secret ballot.
They had been seeking a three-year deal with a two per cent pay increase per year and are threatening a general strike sometime after tomorrow's walkout.
About 15,000 students at the English Montreal School Board, the Lester Pearson School Board, the Commission scolaire de Montréal, the Commission scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys as well as Collège Sainte-Anne in Lachine will be affected by the walkout.
