Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the Montreal and surrounding area.
While Monday is expected to be sunny and near 10°C, a low pressure system moving over the Great Lakes will make it rain overnight, bringing a mix of precipitation to the province.
The westernmost regions will be hit with rain; central regions will likely get snow, and parts in-between have a potential for freezing rain.
Here in Montreal, between 25 and 35 millimetres of rain is expected to begin early Tuesday. With the ground still mostly frozen it has a reduced ability to absorb all the rain.
There will be a brief period on Wednesday where we will see a bit of a break, but a second system is on tap for Thursday and Friday that is expected to bring even more showers.
Let's just hope they bring plenty of May flowers.
