Just a week after the Quebec Transport Minister said the the Teo Taxi business model appeared broken, drivers showing up for work Tuesday morning were told to go home.
Several employees speaking with CTV Montreal said after working for the electric taxi company for up to four years, they were given no explanation other than there was " no work"
La Presse reported last week that the company was about to file for bankruptcy protection.
Transport Minister François Bonnardel said he was unsure if the government would be willing to offer support.
The company has called a news conference for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
