The Quebec government will reportedly put tens of millions of new dollars into the justice system — so that cases don't get thrown out of court.
La Presse reports that the Justice Minister will announce early next week a plan to help it deal with the Supreme Court's recent ruling on limits on how long a case can take to go to trial.
Provincial cases must be heard within 18 months and Supreme Court cases, within 30 months.
The newspaper says Quebec will hire new judges, prosecutors, special constables and support staff and it will open new courtrooms at the courthouses across the province.
