A 14-year-old boy is clinging to life in hospital after he was discovered at the bottom of a swimming pool in Rosemont Thursday morning.
The boy was taking a swimming class with other classmates from nearby Père-Marquette high school. He was apparently under water for several minutes before another group of students found him at the bottom of the pool, unresponsive, at around 10 a.m.
The boy was rushed to hospital, where he's listed as being in critical condition.
Two other people were taken to hospital suffering from nervous shock.
The coroner's office has opened an investigation into the incident. Montreal police, meanwhile, have ruled out foul play.
