A 17 year old boy is expected to appear in court Monday, accused of murder in the death of another 17 year old male in Cote St. Luc.
The incident occurred Thursday night, when Montreal police initially believed they were dealing with a botched robbery. But that changed following an arrest made on Friday of an individual police described as an "important witness".
The 17 year old suspect appeared in court via video conference Saturday and was charged with murder after being questioned by police.
Autopsy results show the victim may have been killed with a sharp object. Police had first thought the teen died after hitting his head against the brick wall of a building.
The suspect could face life in prison if he is tried as an adult.
