Friends, family, teammates, and members of the community came together to honour a teen killed four months ago.
Tristan Morrissette-Perkins died when he was hit by VIA Rail train in Lancaster, Ontario in July.
He was 16.
Those who were close to Tristan said he was loved and admired by many; and his death sent shockwaves through the community.
On Sunday, West Island Hockey in partnership with John Rennie High School retired Tristan's Midget AA Royals No. 6 jersey during a ceremony at Dorval Arena, a first for the amateur hockey association.
