A Cape Breton teen, who underwent an extensive 20-hour brain surgery, got to meet her idol in Laval on Saturday.
13-year-old Alyssa Rose recently underwent major surgery to remove a tumor on her brain stem.
She spoke with CTV Montreal, saying one of the ways she coped with her medical condition was by listening to Panic! at the Disco.
Needless to say, she's a huge fan of the band, and when her family found out P!aTD were performing at Laval, they bought tickets to the show.
Rose wrote a letter to the band's lead singer, Brendon Urie.
Well I am hoping for a Christmas Miracle .@brendonurie @PanicAtTheDisco @ZackCloudHall Please help me make he dream a reality .I have been trying for weeks to help Alyssa https://t.co/oSwewj5LXh pic.twitter.com/psdRjIm01b

The letter was shared on social media and went viral.
After a 13-hour drive, Rose, her best friend, and her parents met Urie.
“He asked how I was feeling and gave us big hugs and autographs and photos,” she said afterwards.
“He even said that he was proud of us for coming so far. It was great just to see him. He just acted like any other person.”
