Once the Samuel-de-Champlain Bridge opens later this year, that won't mean we'll be finished paying for the old Champlain Bridge.
The federal government says it will cost $400 million to bring the 57-year-old structure down.
The federal bridge authority will oversee the deconstruction, which is expected to take about three years.
The new bridge, whose final price tag is now set to climb to $4.2 billion, is expected to be opened to traffic by June, at the latest.
