Montreal police are looking for a man and a woman after a cab driver was stabbed Friday night.
The incident occurred at around 9:00 on Sherbrooke Street near 47th Avenue in Pointe-aux-Trembles.
Police spokesman Daniel Lacoursiere says a man in his thirties and a woman in her twenties had taken the cab and ordered the driver to park behind an apartment building. The male suspect began threatening the 53 year old driver with a sharp object while the female suspect stole valuables from inside the taxi.
The cab driver was subsequently stabbed in the lower body. The victim was taken to hospital but his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Lacoursiere says it is not clear what was taken. A police investigation is on-going.
