A fire that damaged an apartment in Montreal-North is being investigated by the Montreal police department's arson squad.
The flames broke out inside a building on Tardif near Monty early Wednesday evening.
A 50-year-old woman was treated for smoke inhalation. No one else was hurt but the building was evacuated as a precaution.
During a check of the apartment afterwards firefighters could not determine the cause of the fire but did notice several elements that suggest this could arson.
Police investigators will be at the scene Thursday morning to analyze the scene.
