The suspension for a player with the Impact has been lifted.
Major League Soccer suspended defender Wandrille Lefèvre after he posted a picture on Instagram showing him holding a compressed air gun with a French caption saying "Since Donald is in power, prevention is better than a cure."... with a winking emoji.
Lefevre, who's in his 5th season with Montreal, later issued a statement apologizing and saying the post wasn't political and didn't really mean to threaten anyone.
“To be clear, the air pistol was not a firearm nor loaded with bullets,” Lefèvre wrote in an apology on Twitter.
“I realize, however, how the post could be interpreted and apologize for any insensitivity on my part.”
Montreal is at home Saturday against expansion club Atlanta United FC.
TSN 690 will broadcast the game beginning at 1 PM.
