Westmount High School students say they are sticking together when it comes to their upcoming class trip.
They were supposed to travel to Washington, D.C. this spring, but will instead go to Toronto and Niagara Falls. There have been several recent cases of Quebec residents having been denied entry into the United States. Last week, a Montreal woman of Indian descent was told she needed a valid immigrant visa despite having been born in Canada. In February, a Brossard woman born in Morocco was detained at the Quebec-Vermont border for more than four hours before she was eventually turned away.
