The Habs are back in their own time zone after a disastrous California trip — and coach Claude Julien used their practice today to experiment with some new line combinations.
Among other things, newly promoted forwards Mike McCarron and Nikita Sherbak skated on a line with struggling star Alex Galchenyuk.
Meanwhile, captain Max Pacioretty is said to be excited to play with Mathieu Danault and Andrew Shaw, saying they worked well together in Anaheim.
On defence, Julien also broke up the defensive pairing of Karl Alzner and Jeff Petry.
