The baseball season is right around the corner and Montrealers, and former Expos fans, are getting their fix taking in a series of pre-season games at the Olympic Stadium.
Stephen Bronfman was at Tuesday's exhibition game between the Toronto Blue Jays and the St-Louis Cardinals.
He tells impatient fans that progress is being made to bring major league baseball back to Montreal.
Bronfman heads a group of local investors hoping to secure a new team for the city.
He says the group is doing its homework.
"It's all about keeping the flame burning. We lost a baseball team and it takes a long time to get the confidence of the league, owners, people in general. We have a great fan base, a great corporate base," he told TSN 690.
Bronfman says they have a solid financial plan and continue to work to secure government support.
He plans to meet with Mayor Valerie Plante in the next few weeks to talk baseball, among other things.
He also thanks former Mayor, Denis Coderre, for all his hard work to keep the dream alive.
"I'd love to have him (Coderre) standing by our side. He's been a great fan, he loves baseball," said Bronfman.
