The Societé Québécoise du Cannabis (SQDC) announced Friday that it will be shutting down its stores on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, until its supply issues can be resolved.
As of next week, the 12 SQDC outlets will be open only four days a week — Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
"This decision will help the SQDC serve its customers as efficiently as possible," the government-run pot agency said in a statement. "We should mention, however, that this decision won't eliminate the possibility of products being out of stock, since production challenges remain."
It says its web site, sqdc.ca, remains operational at all times.
