Armed with a new anti-biker-gang "Intervention Team," the Sûreté du Québec is promising to trip-up the Hells Angels. The Journal de Montreal reports that the SQ intends to hunt the Hells and their supporting groups like Quebecers have rarely seen in the past.
This "Intervention Team," a new permanent squad, will intensify the fight against bikers in the province, including when the gangs try to flex their muscles in a public show of force.
That includes this evening when the Hells Angels hold a dubious celebration to celebrate their 40th anniversary of criminal activities in Quebec.
They'll meet at the Handfield sugar shack in Saint-Marc-sur-Richelieu, in Montérégie.
Biker gangs have reemerged and become more present than ever in Quebec - including resumption of intimidation tactics, according to reports.
The SQ says it will fight fire with fire and will be there in numbers too.
