Though SAQs will re-open alongside malls, big-box stores and boutiques at 1:00 this afternoon, SQDC stores will not.
That's because it's a Wednesday, and the provincial dispensary chain has adopted reduced hours since shortly after legalization took place earlier this year.
For regular shopping, a select number of stores in the downtown core will open before 1 o'clock, but you should check before heading out the door.
Canada Post Offices, banks, city services, provincial and federal government offices and public markets will all be closed for Boxing Day.
Recycling and trash pickup will vary depending on your borough or suburb.
Most public transit services will run, but on weekend or holiday schedules. Of Exo's train lines, only the Vaudreuil-Hudson, Deux-Montagnes and Saint-Jérôme lines will run, and all will run on reduced schedules. The Candiac, Mont-Saint-Hilaire and Mascouche lines will not run.
