The checkered flag has been waved, awards handed out, Montreal's first ever Formula E race is over but local motorists won't see things get back to normal for a couple of days.
Work to dismantle the race track will be done mostly overnight, but it is still expected to last until August 9.
Until then, the city is urging drivers to be patient.
For Monday some roads are expected to be re-opened:
- Viger East between Papineau and Berri
- Saint-Antoine East between Berri and Notre-Dame East
- St. Hubert between Viger East and Saint-Antoine East
- Papineau (Northbound) between Viger East and Boul. Rene Levesque
Over the course of the day several other streets will return to normal:
- Amherst St. between de Maisonneuve and Viger East
- De la Gauchetiere East between Wolfe and Saint-Denis
- All cross streets between Rene-Levesque East and Viger East, from Saint-Hubert to Wolfe St.
On Tuesday a couple more roads re-open:
- René-Lévesque between Berri and Papineau, north side only (traffic will be both ways)
- Berri, between Viger and de Maisonneuve Boulevard.
- Amherst St. at the intersection with René-Lévesque
- Roads between St-Hubert and Champlain previously closed to all but local traffic will have restrictions lifted.
