Montreal firefighters say they have the upper hand on a fire in Senneville that started just after the lunch hour on Wednesday.
West Islanders noticed a large plume of smoke coming from north of the Trans-Canada highway at around 1 p.m.
The fire broke out in a residential building undergoing renovations at 300 Senneville Rd.
Two firefighters suffered smoke inhalation.
It's not clear how the fire started.
