The site of the planned Vaudreuil-Soulanges hospital is changing.
The Health Ministry is said to be considering other options considered by previous government.
Two years ago, the Couillard government announced the future hospital's site at the corner of Highways 30 and 340 near Highway 40.
A few months ago, Quebec's commission on the protection of agricultural land suggested a half dozen other locations for the new structure.
The land that was chosen is in a zone slated for agriculture.
Vaudreuil-Dorion Mayor Guy Pilon is reported saying he's very unhappy with the development, adding the city's already moved to expropriate land needed to direct water to the hospital site.
The opening of the hospital is still slated for 2027.
