Authorities in Toronto say that a man facing sexual assault and pimping charges likely had victims here in Montreal, and are seeking the public's help to locate them.
Kalib James Rahi, 31, allegedly based much of his operations through a dog-breeding business in Laval in 2016 and 2017. He is suspected of sexually assaulting and photographing women, and then posting advertisements selling the women's sexual services, forcing clients at gunpoint to have sex with clients for money.
The Toronto Police Service's Cst. Andy Medeiros told CTV Montreal that Rahi lured women to his dog-breeding business via scoial media, and sexual assaults took place during trips to deliver new puppies, often on trips to rural locations in Ontario and Quebec.
In Ontario, Rahi faces a wide range of charges, including sexual assault, procuring to provide sexual services, advertising another person's sexual services, and human trafficking.
Police say that two women in Ontario have come forward, but that there are other possible victims in B.C. and Quebec. Medeiros says that the TPS task force working on the case believe there could be other victims.
