Montreal police are seeking possible victims of a physiotherapist who's been charged with sexually assaulting his patients.
Maher Mohamed Elsayed, 32, was arrested last Monday but was released on bail with certain conditions.
"For the past month, this physiotherapist allegedly assaulted sexually three women during their treatment and the investigators think there are more victims," said Montreal police spokesman Benoit Boiselle.
The complaints were filed in the Ville Marie and Parc Ex sectors.
Police say Elsayed practiced in many clinics around the city. He was kicked out from Quebec's order of professional physiotherapists October 6 after it received two complaints a few weeks prior. A disciplinary hearing is expected to be scheduled in the coming months. The order said Elsayed was a member since the beginning of the year.
The Order's syndic Louise Gauthier said Elsayed can't practice physiotherapy or use the title of physiotherapist but he could operate as a massage therapist since that's not overseen by any professional order.
Gauthier said Elsayed was a member since the beginning of the year.
Other possible victims can file a complaint at their local police station or by calling 9-1-1.
