A section of the Plateau Mont-Royal borough was placed under a boil water advisory Thursday, as a precaution, after tap water was turned off in the area due to maintenance work on Wednesday.
A handful of streets in the neighborhood are affected:
• Mont-Royal Ave. E. (south side) from St. Hubert to Christophe-Colomb
• St. André St. from Duluth E. to Mont-Royal E.
• De Mentana St., from Duluth E. to Mont-Royal E.
• Boyer St., from Rachel E. to Mont-Royal E.
• Marie-Anne St. E., from St. André to Boyer
• 960-964 and 969 Rachel St. E.
• Duluth Ave. East, from St. Hubert to Lafontaine Park
The advisory is expected to remain in place through Saturday, when the results of 48 hours' worth of lab testing will be in. In the meantime, residents are being advised to boil their drinking water for at least a minute before consuming.
