If you have an extended warranty for a product purchased at Sears Canada, it won't be honored after Wednesday.
"After October 18, Sears will no longer be in a position to honour Sears Protection Agreements to customers," the chain said in a release — though it points out that most of its products are backed by a manufacturer's warranty, which remains in effect.
However, if you bought the store's warranty on top of that, for things like repair services, that will become null and void at the end of the day on Wednesday.

If you purchased a store warranty on a Sears product in the last 30 days, you will be entitled to a full refund.
Meanwhile, liquidation sales at its remaining stores are set to begin on Thursday, Oct. 19. You'll still be able to use your Sears gift cards, and redeem Sears club points during the liquidation process, but all sales after that date will be final, with no returns or exchanges.
The company's delivery service will be maintained until Nov. 30.
Sears Canada sought bankruptcy protection in June, as it attempted to work out a new deal that would satisfy its creditors. None materialized, and last week the company was granted approval to begin the process of liquidating its remaining 130 stores. That process is expected to wrap up by the end of the year.
