If you need to buy booze at the SAQ in the next little while, keep in mind — you won't be able to next Wednesday.
The union representing the SAQ's workers has decided that day will be its second strike day...a day before the expected launch of the provincial election campaign.
The workers have given their union a mandate to hold six strike days in all.
The workers and management are still hung up in a dispute over work schedules.
For the moment, it isn't clear whether managers and other non-union staff will work to keep some SAQ stores open on the strike day, as they did on the first strike day, on July 17.
