The owners of the Rousseau Sports store on Autoroute 440 are still counting their losses but estimate that thieves made off with about half-a-million dollars worth of hockey equipment during a robbery this week.
Laval police investigators say it appears the suspects made their way into the building through a ventilation shaft sometime after closing last Sunday and then disabled the burglar alarm.
Only high-end and expensive sticks, gloves, pants, pads and skates were taken.
The store has been closed this week to allow staff to take inventory but in a Facebook posting officials say it should re-open Thursday.
