A funeral home with ties to a Montreal crime family on Grandes-Prairies Boulevard near Viau in Saint-Léonard sustained minor damage when it was apparently targeted by an arsonist this morning.
A Montreal Police spokesman says it happened at around 5:30 this morning and no one was hurt.
The Loreto Funeral Complex is owned by the the family of former mob boss Vito Rizzuto.
The case has been turned over to the arson squad and investigators are going to determine whether surveillance cameras were able to record images of the suspect or suspects.
It is the second such attack at the funeral home in five years.
