The Missing Children's Network says we're on track in 2017, to break a record for the number of runaway teenagers.
There have already been 72 this year, but those are only the reported cases.
Every year in Quebec 5000 teens run away and most are not reported. Most are found within days or even hours, but 6 teens have been missing for several weeks now.
The Missing Children's Network says it's never seen so many teens gone for such a long period of time.
Pina Arcamone, with the Network says there are some things you can look for in your child, that might indicate they're preparing the run away, including sudden, unexpected changes.
"A child that was very outgoing becomes very, very withdrawn, tends to isolate himself or herself much more. A child that completely changes his circle of friends," she said. "A child that may come home with expensive gadgets, iPhone, iPad, and you know that he doesn't have a summer job."
She also says to watch out for a child that can get very angry.
Arcamone says it's very important to know what's going on in your child's life and the summertime is a good time to take them out for an ice cream or a walk to let them know they are your priority.
