A usually-quiet residential street in Chateauguay has become the scene of an RCMP raid this evening. Officers are conducting a massive raid on a home that it's suspected is doubling as a fentanyl lab.
Four people have been arrested on the scene, they will be appearing in court at a later date.

Officers expect to find some amount of the deadly fentanyl and carfentanyl drugs, though an exact amount has not yet been determined. The RCMP on the scene were wearing full haz-mat gear even though they were unsure exactly how much of the drug was even present in the home. A spokeswoman for the federal police clarified that this was a precautionary measure.
It is expected that the raid will continue into the night, and that an update on exactly how much of the drug was recovered will be given soon.
