Veteran broadcaster Randy Renaud now has tall order to fill a legend's shoes on CHOM 97 7.
Starting on Monday, Renaud will take over the 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. shift, replacing the legendary Tootall.
"Randy is the perfect fit for middays on CHOM," says CHOM 97 7's music director Picard. "He has a ton of experience and a deep passion for music. Randy's vast wealth of musical knowledge is part of his proven track record, and it will help him continue to connect with listeners in interesting and creative ways."
Renaud was first heard on CHOM 30 years ago, and has spent the last 15 of those hosting the weekend afternoon show. Along the way, he's programmed and hosted several programs including Blue Monday, The Black Cat Alley and Classic Vinyl Sunday.
Tootall, a staple on CHOM for four decades, will sign off for the last time on Friday. Later that evening, a tribute to Tootall will take place at Club Soda, featuring The Box, The Pursuit of Happiness, Sam Roberts and The Damn Truth.
