Whether you're working in the lab late one night, or you're fighting for your life inside a killer thriller tonight, one thing is for sure Quebecers love their Halloween.
According to a recent survey conducted by L'Observateur for the Conseil québécois du commerce de détail (CQCD) just over half the province (54%) plans to dress up in some form at some point for some spooktacular festivities.
If you haven't decided on your costume yet and want to be original, according to the poll the most popular costumes this year will be professional uniforms like firefighters and police officers. Film and TV characters are a very close second. Just over 40 per cent (42) of respondents said they'll be taking a trip to their nearest dollar store to put together something for the big night.
Quebecers will be spending more on Halloween decorations this year, an average of $84, up $15 from 2017.
On the parenting side, 43 per cent said they'll be going out with their children for trick-or-treating.
The real sad/scary number, only 47 per cent of Quebecers said they'll be leaving their lights on and giving out candy this year, down from 60 per cent last year.
