One of three Quebecers charged in a massive drug bust in Australia last August has pleaded guilty to charges of attempting to import cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
28 year old Isabelle Lagace will be sentenced February 3rd.
Her travel partner, 23-year-old Melina Roberge, is arguing that she did not know what was inside two suit cases which contained 29 kilograms of cocaine found in their shared cabin aboard a cruise ship which had docked in Sydney.
The judge will rule next Wednesday whether she will go to trial.
A third person accused in the case, 63 year old Andre Tamine, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and will go straight to trial February 3.
He was arrested in another cabin where almost 70 kilograms of cocaine was found in three suitcases.
