The criminal case involving an alleged hit-and-run and the son of Quebec Health Minister Gaetan Barrette was in court briefly this morning.
Geoffroy Barrette, 23, was not present for the hearing and did not have to be - he was represented by his lawyer, Nadia Touma.
Crown prosecutor Geneviève Langlois handed over the evidence to Touma who did not enter a plea.
Barrette is charged with hit-and-run and dangerous driving causing injury.
A cyclist suffered serious head injuries after he was struck by a motorist at the corner of Rachel and Ste Dominique in the Plateau Mont-Royal October 13.
Barrette was arrested the same day and released on a promise to appear in court later on.
Touma would not comment on her client's state of mind.
Touma represented former Laval mayor Gilles Vaillancourt who pleaded guilty to fraud and breach of trust in 2016.
The case returns to court in January.
