The Quebec government has unveiled a multi-year plan to clean up contaminated land.
David Heurtel, minister for sustainable development, the environment and climate change announced 175-million dollars will be spent over five years.
Made the announcement in Montreal today along with Public Safety Minister Martin Coiteux.
120-million will be earmarked for land owned by the government.
The rest will go toward a program providing grants to municipal governments and private entities to decontaminate land and put up parks or businesses.
