Quebec's public security minister says they remain on high alert what with the continuing rain and rising water levels.
Genevieve Guilbault says there have been around 50 landslides across the province - she warns motorists to take precautions, to avoid these areas and not to take any unnecessary risks.
Guilbault says the situation remains stable when it comes to the number of homes flooded and cut off by flood waters - 3056 homes are flooded, 2736 are inaccessible.
The number of evacuees has climbed to 1796.
Guilbault says the bridge linking Ile Bigras to the rest of Laval remains closed.
Guilbault says she is aware fatigue is likely setting in along with anxiety and stress so psychological services are available to those who need them by calling 811.
