Another high profile Monteraler is being accused of sexual misconduct by several former employees.
Seven women have come forward in the Journal de Montreal to say that Montreal author, publisher and Plateau-Mont Royal mayoral candidate, Michel Brûlé had, on a number of occasions, subjected them to unwanted kisses, hugs, comments and photos.
Brûlé is the founder of Éditions des Intouchables publishing.
The women say over a ten year period he created a work environment based on sex and sexual innuendo.
Brûlé denies the allegations and in an e-mail to CJAD News says he is the victim of a plot and he plans to sue the newspaper for defamation.
Brûlé told the newspaper that there were jokes at times and he created a team of what he called opened minded people but regrets nothing except the fact that if anyone was offended at the time, they did not speak up then.
Text of comment from Michel Brûlé to CJAD News:
"Cet article se base sur des allégations et non pas sur des accusations. Je suis victime d'une machination et je vais poursuivre le Journal de Montréal pour diffamation."
