It appears the long-anticipated spike in the price of gasoline in Montreal is finally happening.
On Monday morning, the price of a litre of regular gasoline was selling for less than $1.20 at most places, but now, we're expecting that price to shoot up by anywhere from 15 to 20 cents at your local gas station by Tuesday morning.
The price is expected to reach 135.9 cents by then.
It's the first significant increase in the price of gas in Montreal since Oct. 9, when the price jumped up to 144.9.
The change is expected to happen sometime between now and the morning rush hour, which means — you might be able to save around $10 or so on a fillup if you do that sooner, rather than later.
