One of Montreal's most prominent pot activists is in trouble with the taxman.
Revenue Quebec maintains that Marc-Boris St-Maurice owes $1.4-million after engaging in some suspect accounting at his Compassion Centre marijuana dispensary in the Plateau district.
St-Maurice tells the Journal de Montreal that he is mounting a defense against the tax claim, and it, in part, revolves around the fact that his book-keeping records were lost to a police raid in 2010.
