The travel company known for making trips to China popular is bankrupt.
This summer, Sinorama lost its Quebec operating license after the consumer protection agency found irregularities in how bank accounts were handled.
Customers who bought and paid for cancelled trips will be refunded through a special compensation fund.
Travellers who've not received a refund can fill out a form available online through the PricewaterhouseCoopers website.
"We need to obtain all documents, we need the invoice. We need proof of payment. But, in most cases when, I would say that, there's a problem, it's because they will give us the proof of payment, but we don't have a detailed invoice. We need that because we need to match the payment with the details of the invoice", explained Christian Bourque, the provisional administrator for Sinorama at PwC
Sinorama is declaring $13 million in debts, but less than $1 million in assets.
A Quebec City travel company is set to take over Sinorama’s tour bus operations.
