Montreal police are on the hunt for someone targeting elderly women in the Pointe-Aux-Trembles, Riviere-des-Prairies and the Dorval areas in a series of home invasions this past month.
Police say he would target "elderly and vulnerable women" at home alone, either approaching them while they are outside or knocking at the door.
"The suspect would use a charming and kind approach to establish a relationship of trust with his victims in order to be invited into their home," Montreal police said in a statement. "He would offer his victims food, containing a substance that would make them lose consciousness."
The women would then wake up to find they had been robbed, with no memory of what happened.
Investigators say the suspect is a thin white male of average height believed to be 45 and 50 years old. He has a shaved head and his skin is tanned.
Police say he's a native English speaker who speaks French with an accent and could possibly be European.
All the known home invasions took place in December, and police say there could be more victims; anyone that believes they were targetted are asked to visit their local police station to file a complaint, or dial 911.
Tips on the suspect can be relayed anonymously to Info-Crime Montreal at 514-393-1133 or online.
