A 20-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of child luring, and Montreal police are looking for young people who may have come in contact with her.
Tanisha Samuels is accused of posing as a boy online in order to convince young girls to share sexually explicit photos and videos of themselves online.
She appeared in court this week to be charged with luring and corrupting minors, and possession and creation of child pornography.
She was arrested earlier this week in eastern Ontario and brought to Montreal for criminal proceedings.
Montreal police believe there may be other victims — she supposedly targeted girls in Grade 7, using the following aliases:
Sam Johnson on Instagram
Tanishasamuels1997@gmail.com on Imessage
Mattix iesha crip gang on Facebook Messenger
The crimes supposedly took place in the summer of 2017.
Samuels stands five feet, eight inches tall and weighs 140 pounds with short, wavy hair, dyed blonde. She also has the word 'hope' tattooed on her left arm.
Anyone who may have had contact with Johnson is being urged to contact police to tell their stories — by calling 9-1-1, or by visiting their local police station to file an official complaint.
