A wrong address from 911 led police to a home in the Laurentians, yet they arrested a wanted man.
The Journal de Montreal reported the SQ was sent to a home in Saint Lin on Wednesday after someone called 9-1-1, but then hung up.
Upon inspection of the home after talking to a woman at the door, police found a man who eventually threatened them with a knife.
The man, identified as Patrick Auger, is a sexual assault suspect.
He appeared in court the following day facing 10 charges, including making death threats.
Another appearance scheduled for April 13th.
An investigation into what happened was launched.
The call was apparently made from another home with a similar address.
