Police in Laval have arrested two men following a months long investigation into the mysterious theft of catalytic converters from delivery trucks.
Investigators say 38 year old Carl Savoie and 25 year old Miguel Gagnon were picked up October 12, shortly after two suspects were spotted on security cameras removing a catalytic converter from a parked truck.
Total losses are about $500,000.
Both men have been charged with theft, possession of stolen property and breach of probation.
Gagnon has been released pending his next court appearance. Savoie remains in custody and has a bail hearing today.
Investigators says the thefts occurred in Laval and Montreal and are asking possible victims to come forward.
