Montreal police are seeking the public's help in tracking down a suspect in connection with a fatal hit-and-run last May in the borough of L'île-Bizard-Sainte-Geneviève.
Police say a female motorist struck a man crossing at the intersection of Pierrefonds and Boulevard Ste-Anne on May 4 at around 10:30 p.m.
There was a power outage and strong winds at the time.
Police say the woman stopped briefly before fleeing the scene.
It was passersby who helped the victim.
The motorist was driving a four-door Mazda or Toyota, gold-coloured that appeared to be faded and it was a model between 2010 and 2014.
Witnesses describe the motorist as a woman in her 20's, with black hair, standing five feet tall, weighing around 130 lb and speaks French. She was wearing a cream-coloured sweater at the time.
