Montreal police say they've put together a more complete profile of the so-called 'charming home invader' that struck in Dorval and the east end recently.
Police released photos from a security camera on Thursday showing the man they're looking for — police describe the suspect as 'calm, patient and charming.'
He's 45 to 50 years old, slightly tanned, standing five feet 11 inches tall, with a thin build and a shaved head. He would introduce himself as Aaron, David or Alain, according to police.
He was seen in the photos wearing a black tuque, and a light black jacket. He speaks French, but often uses English expressions.
The robberies are all said to have taken place in December, with a similar MO — he would park a white Jeep Grand Cherokee, with mag hubcaps, near the residences of his victims, and approach them while they're outside or at their front doors.
He would target older, single women looking to sell their homes. He would express interest in buying the house and would offer gifts to the owners, saying it was customary. The gifts would include a bottle of wine and box of chocolates.
The chocolate would be drugged, and once the victims passed out, the suspect would proceed to rob them — of money, electronics and jewelry.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call 9-1-1 or the police department's Info-Crime tipline at 514-393-1133.
