Montreal police have launched a second arson investigation in as many days after another business was hit with an incendiary device.
At about 6:00 A.M. firefighters were called to the Giorgio men's clothing store on Peel St. between Ste-Catherine and de Maisonneuve.
They quickly noticed one of the boutique's front windows had been smashed and there were traces of an accelerant inside.
The clothing store's sprinkler system kicked in and had managed to confine the flames to the front display. While some clothes were burnt the majority of damage was caused by water.
Police investigators brought in a canine unit to help in the search of the area for suspects.
No arrests have been made.
This is the second attack on a Montreal business in as many days.
Tuesday morning two officers noticed flames inside the Boustan restaurant in N.D.G. while responding to a nearby call.
They located and questioned two people nearby, a 39-year-old woman and 28-year-old man. The pair were arrested and are expected to appear in court Wednesday.
